Why do we use OEM parts on your appliances? Why can’t we order cheaper parts on Amazon?
First of all, an OEM part is a part that is made directly by the manufacturer of your appliance. These parts are made by the manufacturer as replacement parts that are specifically designed for your appliance. We use OEM parts on your appliances because the part is warranted and is made of the highest quality that will last. Knock-off parts or after-market parts are made to be very close to the OEM part but not exact so these parts are usually found online cheaper than the real thing. We cannot warranty that parts will not fail if they are not OEM. For example, Amazon may offer a cheaper part and even say that it is OEM but most likely it is a counterfeit or aftermarket part and most likely it will fail or not work at all for your appliance. By using counterfeit parts, you would also be risking that the part will fail and damage your appliance further. We cannot install cheap parts just to save a customer a little bit of money upfront because on the back end it could cost a lot more and we are not going to be responsible and risk our reputation. OEM parts are more expensive and we hate that they are but we still try to charge a low and fair labor rate in order to get your appliance working again with quality parts that will last.
Having said all of this about OEM parts, we have, on occasion, ordered a part from Amazon at the customer's request for a part that has been discontinued or had a customer order the part themselves on Amazon that is not going to damage the appliance if it fails but they just might not last as long. The customer is also made aware that the job is done cheaper for them but the parts and labor are not warranted at all. It’s all about full disclosure and what the situation is for the customer. Our goal is a happy, lifelong customer that can depend on us for honest, reliable, and quality service.
